- Although it's officially due on Wednesday, get started on it ASAP since it covers how to setup your computer
- If you come across a problem last minute, it will be hard for course staff to save you
- Otherwise, feel free to contact me or sign up for OH if you're having trouble
HW 01 will be released Tuesday (6/23) and will involve some coding (yay!!)

Thursday, June 25

Hog has been released and is due Monday, July 6 @ 11:59 PM
- Complete the whole project by Sunday, July 5 to earn an early submission bonus point (get started now)!
- Phase 1 (of 3) is due ~~Thursday, July 2~~ Friday, July 3 (individual)
- You can work with a partner on phases 2 & 3, just add them on okpy before the final deadline
Diagnostic Quiz is happening next Thursday, July 2 (time TBD, 2 slots 12 hours apart, synchronous)
- Possible topics: Control/Iteration, Environment Diagrams, HOFs, Self reference, Linear Recursion
Course staff is currently working on putting up discussion recording playlists on the main website!

Hog Phase 1 is due this Friday, July 3!
- There will be a Hog project party tomorrow (7/1/20) night 3:00 - 6:00 PM (PDT)
  - It will be traditional OH style (queue based) with multiple concurrent Zoom calls going on for different problems
  - Check Piazza for the project party survey and relevant Zoom links
Diagnostic Quiz is happening this Thursday, July 2 6:00 PM - 7:15 PM (PDT, synchronous)
- As such, discussion this Thursday is cancelled
- Possible topics: Control/Iteration, Environment Diagrams, HOF’s, Self-reference, Linear Recursion
- 3 questions, 25 minutes each, no backtracking/going back-and-forth between questions
- If you have a time conflict or need an alternate exam time, fill out links.cs61a.org/alt
Discussion recordings have been uploaded to YouTube and are available on the main website!
- Under each discussion on the main calendar, there is a small video button that will take you to the corresponding YouTube playlist

- To vent, get the most out of assignments, discuss study strategies for the Final, etc.
Midterm regrade requests are due today
- If you feel like you were graded unfairly according to the rubric, feel free to make a request on Gradescope explaining how the rubric was incorrectly applied to your work

HW 06 has been released and contains the course-wide mid-semester survey
When signing up for OH appointments, please fill out the assignment, question number, and description to the best of your ability so that the staff member can come as prepared as possible to help you!

Tuesday, August 4

HW 07 due tonight, Lab 12 due tomorrow
Scheme is released!
- There are multiple checkpoints! 2nd checkpoint due Thursday, August 6
- Final deadline: Monday, August 10 (Sunday for bonus point)
- Scheme spec walks you through exactly what to change and where; refer back to it
Final is in 9 days!
- You don't have much time (no dead week 😔) so optimize how you study by prioritizing your weak areas --> see the CS61A Resources tab where it divides problems by topics
  - Guides: Conceptual introduction/review
  - Practice Problems: Mid/Assignment-level questions
  - Exam questions: Exam-level problems (from past exams)
- Infer what you can about which topics will be on the exam
  - Format is the same as the Midterm (7 questions)
  - I haven't seen the Final but this is what I would guess!
  - The Final is cumulative, but post-Midterm topics have to be covered somewhere (1. OOP, 2. Linked Lists, 3. General Scheme (Lists, Tail Recursion), 4. Macros and/or Streams, 5. SQL)
  - 6. Tree Recursion is a core topic in CS61A
  - 7. Your weakest area
- Topical Review Sessions are confirmed to be held this Friday, next Monday, and next Tuesday!

  - Spring 2020 Topical Review Sessions can be found on YouTube

- A synchronous practice Final will be held at the beginning of next week!

Wednesday, August 12

You are done with all required CS61A assignments & projects!
Last week of class means:
- Submit all your regrade requests for assignments
- Complete your HW recovery (Piazza post)
Fill out your Berkeley Course Evaluations (should have received link via email)!
Final is TOMORROW
- Programming Languages & Machine Learning lectures are in scope (MC, should be straightforward as long as you attended/watched the lectures)
- Today's special topics is not in scope for the final (Navigating Berkeley by Chae)
  - We still recommend you watch it (even if it's after the final)
This is the final stretch, finish strong! After tomorrow, you will be done with CS61A forever :,(
